# Node Operators

Here are the required specifications for running a node on XChain;\
\
OS: 64bit Linux (Preferred Debian based) with Kernel 4.4 or higher , preferred x86

SSD: 500mbps or higher random read / write avg value + 250gb space

CPU: 4c/4t 64 bit modern CPU (2015 or higher for x86, 2018 or higher for ARM) RAM: 16GB DDR4 or superior Bandwidth: 1gbps (may work below that but may be kicked for low performances)

A VPS can be used but you have to double the above requirements (except for ram and disk space)
